The Virginia Bioscience Legislative Caucus (VBLC) is a bi-partisan, bi-cameral group of approximately 60 state legislators who share a common interest in the development of the bioscience industry in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Governor Martin O’Malley and the Maryland Biotechnology Center unveiled the Maryland BioStat at BIO 2009 International Conference in Atlanta, GA.  The Maryland BioStat  is an interactive map containing a database of Maryland’s rich bioscience assets – from its companies to academic and federal life sciences research centers, to its research parks, incubators and other critical infrastructure that makes Maryland an epicenter of bioscience R&D.
